Princess Sumaya University for Technology (PSUT) and the University of Texas at Dallas (UT Dallas) have signed a cooperation agreement that allows students of the King Abdullah II School of Engineering at PSUT to enroll in a joint (1+5) program. This program enables students to obtain a bachelor’s degree in one of the engineering disciplines from Princess Sumaya University for Technology, followed by the opportunity to earn a master’s degree from UT Dallas within just one year, upon enrollment in either the Master of Electrical Engineering or the Master of Computer Engineering programs in the US.
PSUT President, Prof. Wejdan Abu Elhaija, stated that this partnership represents a qualitative addition and a strategic step toward building genuine and tangible partnerships with leading global universities, in line with the directives of HRH Sumaya bint El Hassan in supporting academic excellence and innovation. Prof. Abu Elhaija also noted that this collaboration opens new educational pathways for students in engineering programs, enhances their opportunities to pursue postgraduate studies and contribute to advanced scientific research, and enables them to engage in international experiences that elevate their skills and practical capabilities.
It is worth noting that The University of Texas at Dallas is a public research university with more than 29,886 students distributed across seven colleges, offering 160 undergraduate and graduate academic programs.
